"On the 29.10.2005 we had a
devastating fire. In an attempt to dose the
flames, I realized I was not wearing any
protective clothing or footware. That evening, in
darkness, a 65km strong wind suddenly picked up,
spraying hot cinders all over the place.
To extinguish the fire I had
to run over hot ground(sand) and in doing so a
flying hot cinder lodged between my bare foot and
rubber sandal scorching them very badly. When I
retired to bed that evening at about 11:30am a
huge red blister had formed on my foot. I then
